As we saw yesterday, The Lord isn’t just interested in what He can do through you, He is also committed to WHO YOU ARE BECOMING!

Today’s passage says that the testing of your faith will help you LEARN TO BE PATIENT IN SUFFERING.

James 1:3-4 “YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOUR FAITH IS TESTED, YOU LEARN TO BE PATIENT IN SUFFERING, IF YOU LET THAT PATIENCE WORK IN YOU, THE END RESULT WILL BE GOOD. YOU WILL BE MATURE AND COMPLETE. YOU WILL BE ALL THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE.”

The trials and hardships that Joseph faced helped him become the man and leader that God needed him to be.

Anyone can be patient when there isn’t any suffering but can you remain patient when your faith is being tested and your circumstances aren’t improving?

Can you still trust God after being betrayed, sold into slavery, falsely accused and thrown into prison? Can you still hold on to your God-given dreams when things look like they’re getting worse?

Being patient and trusting God in the middle of adversity isn’t easy but when you know that it’s strengthening your character and reinforcing your commitment to the Lord, the truth will help you endure it and overcome it.

King James Version

Who you become as a result of being tested is up to you. Choose your response wisely and let Christ be formed in you.

The Lord isn’t just interested in what He can do through you, He is also committed to WHO YOU ARE BECOMING!

Who you become as a result of being tested is UP TO YOU. Your life and character will be determined by THE CHOICES THAT YOU MAKE.

If you quit every time things get hard, you’ll never become all that God wants you to be.

After the Midianites sold Joseph into slavery. Genesis 39:3 says that “HIS MASTER SAW THAT THE LORD WAS WITH HIM AND THAT THE LORD MADE ALL HE DID TO PROSPER IN HIS HAND.”

What do others see when you’re faced with adversity?

We don’t see Joseph complaining to God or anyone else about his circumstances. Instead of being bitter, he chose to make the most of the situation that he found himself in. Instead of being resentful, Joseph chose to trust God and he flourished as a slave.

Your current circumstances may look nothing like the dream God gave you but you don’t have to wait for the future to start flourishing today.

Giving your best today, will help you MATURE and become COMPLETE so that you have all that you need within you to succeed in all that God has planned for your future.

Have an awesome day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
