Tuesday 14 February 2023, Pago Pago American Samoa. A bus was seen in flames on the roadside infront of Starkist Company in Atu’u American Samoa at around 4pm Monday evening (Tuesday Samoa time).
An eye witness told Samoa Global News no one was injured in the incident which bystanders filmed and posted live on Facebook.
“That was the burning vehicle, it was a bus, completely engulfed in flames”.
“E lei iai se isi na aafia se soifua pe tupu ai fo’i se faalavelave sa saogalemu uma mea uma.”
“The first responders arrived and brought the fire under control.”
“Sa vave oo atu foi le au fuimu, ma sa vave tineia le afi ua taalili, ae ua leva ona sōsō mamao ese uma le mamalu o le atunuu i lena taimi..”
