Thank God it’s Monday Saints.
I know that we don’t always feel like rejoicing over the thought of another work week, but if we don’t have the right heart, the things that we need to do will seem too overwhelming to carry out.
1Thessalonians 5:18 says, “GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES; FOR THIS IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS.”
How could we possibly thank God in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES? It is the blessing of every believer to “KNOW THAT IN ALL THINGS, GOD WORKS FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM, WHO HAVE BEEN CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE.” (Romans 8:28)
As a child of God, you are never alone, and in His Sovereignty, He works ALL THINGS – good and bad, advantageous and disadvantageous – for your good.
It’s all set up for God’s glory and your benefit. In His providence, He WORKS things out for your temporal and eternal GOOD.
It’s our FAITH and HOPE in God that allows us to GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.
We can thank Him when things are favourable, and we can thank Him when they are not.
He knows what’s best for us, and He knows what we can learn from the tests or trials that are put before us.
He knows how the challenges that are before us can WORK for our GOOD.
So yes, thank God it’s Monday. This is the day that THE LORD HAS MADE. Rejoice and be glad in it! Whatever comes your way, trust the Lord for the wisdom and strength to handle it.
