Happy Monday Saints.

Luke 4:13 “WHEN THE DEVIL HAD FINISHED TEMPTING JESUS, HE LEFT HIM UNTIL THE NEXT OPPORTUNITY CAME.”

The devil is relentless. Even if you’ve had victory over him in the past, you can be sure that he’ll be back again to tempt you and discourage you from being faithful to the Lord.

1Peter 5:8 tells us to “BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL WALKS ABOUT LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.”

He can’t devour everybody. He can only devour those who choose to yield and give in to his temptations.

We need to be VIGILANT. We need to know what kind of opportunities he’s going to seize. He tempted Jesus when He was feeling weak and hungry.

The devil still operates the same way today. He patiently waits for you to be tired, overwhelmed, stressed, hungry, impatient, anxious, confused, too busy, worried about what others think, suspicious of others, or uncertain about the future.

Every concern is an opportunity for him to pounce and get you off track.

1Peter 5:9 says to “RESIST HIM, STANDING FIRM IN THE FAITH.”

You don’t have to yield to any of his temptations. Regardless of how you are feeling, you can RESIST the devil.

You are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! If you follow the Lord closely, nothing that the devil tempts you with can overcome you.

Have a victorious day and a great week in Christ. God bless, and lots’a love,

Warren
