We are saved by God’s Amazing Grace through Faith

Happy Friday Saints.

As we saw yesterday, salvation is a gift. It cannot be earned. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH – AND THAT IS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD – NOT BY WORKS, SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST.”

We are saved by God’s amazing grace through faith. We are saved by BELIEVING. We are saved by believing that JESUS IS LORD – by having faith in Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection.

We are not saved by WORKS. You and I can’t earn our salvation. If we could earn or achieve it on our own, then we could BOAST about what we did. But today’s passage clearly states that “NO ONE CAN BOAST.”

We are not saved by any good efforts or religious behaviour. We are not saved by praying, singing hymns, attending church, or doing charitable deeds. These are all good, but none of these things make us right with God. None of these things can change our fallen spiritual condition.

You can go to church your whole life and still miss it. We aren’t saved by our religious association either. You can faithfully attend a Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian, Assembly of God, or Baptist church and still fall short. Why? Because we aren’t saved by DOING anything!

We are saved by FAITH in the GRACE of God that was lovingly demonstrated through Jesus’ death on the cross.

John 3:16 is the gospel in a nutshell. God loved you and me so much that He gave His only begotten Son, “JESUS,” and whoever BELIEVES in Him will NOT PERISH but have everlasting life.

All the honour, glory, and praise belong to Jesus. And that’s why many born-again Christians worship God with ALL they’ve got. They know that without Him, they are without hope.

Love sent Jesus. And when we fully understand and believe that with all our hearts, we can’t help but love Him back.

Have a blessed day and a great weekend.
Love and prayers,
Warren
