Miss Tonga, Elika Bunter was crowned Woman of the World 2023, at the Pageant of the World 2023 competition, held on 30 September at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, Australia.
Pageant of the World is Australia’s international beauty pageant.
“The winner is the contestant with the highest degree and overall combination of inner strength, conviction, intelligence, confidence, wisdom, and talent,” states the pageant website.
Matangi Tonga reports that Elika represented Tonga, and competed with contestants from 12 countries to win the title.
Elika is a model who went to school in Penrith.
Organisers said that Elika, from the village of Pelehake in Tongatapu, is only the second Tongan to ever win an International pageant.
The first was Miss ft Diamond Langi who won Face of Beauty International in 2013.
