Samoa’s new Minister for Communication and Information Technology held his first meeting with the ICT sector on Monday at the TATTE government building.
Hon. Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo and his Associate Minister, Afioga Magele Sekati Fiaui, met with the Ministries, State Owned Enterprises (SOE’s), Constitutional and Regulatory Bodies that are included under the Ministerial Portfolio of MCIT.



The ICT sector comprises the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Office of the Regulator, Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, the Samoa Post Office and Radio 2AP.



Susuga Rev. Letone Uili of the Poutasi EFKS Parish, blessed the event with a prayer service to give praise and thanksgiving to God, and to bless the Sector’s initiatives, strategies and plans for the coming year.



In his keynote address, the Hon. Minister, Afioga Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to making access to the benefits of the country’s development successes, inclusive to all citizens of Samoa.



The Hon. Minister also highlighted the integral role the Sector plays, through the development and implementation of its plans and strategies, towards the successful realisation of Samoa’s development goals.
Toelupe encouraged the Sector to continue to work together to serve the people of Samoa.
