Press Release. Samoa Post will receive 3 new mail vehicles from the Universal Postal Union (UPU) during Samoa’s hosting of back to back meetings this coming week.

The UPU Director General, will officially hand over 3 new mail vehicles purchased locally from Hyundai Samoa, funded under the Universal Postal Union, Quality Service Fund to Samoa Post.

A press statements reads, “This assistance anticipates capacity building, enabling the achievement of performance and delivery targets, by Samoa Post”.

Samoa Post is hosting two Pacific regional meetings in collaboration with the Universal Postal Union (UPU). The CEO conference is on the 25 & 26 February 2019, inaugurated jointly by the Hon Prime Minister of Samoa, Susuga Tuilaepa Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi and His Excellency, Ambassador Mr Bishar, A Hussein, the Director General of the Universal Postal Union.

The objective is to enlighten designated operators in the region, of the Union’s new policies. This initiative creates a platform for pacific perspective and dialogue, on implications of new policies and positions of designated operators of the region.

The second workshop on the 25th February – 1 March, which focuses on the computerization of international mail accounting system, to modernize, facilitate and enhance postal services connectivity and efficiencies.
