Proverbs 18:9

Yesterday we saw that if the desire to accomplish something doesn’t have corresponding actions, then it’s merely a wish.

Matthew Henry once wrote that “The slothful desire the gains the diligent get, but hate the pains the diligent take.”

The key is to embrace the process. Wanting the results without committing to the whole process is useless.

Proverbs 18:9 says that “ONE WHO IS SLACK IN HIS WORK IS BROTHER TO ONE WHO DESTROYS.” Some sort of effort without a heartfelt commitment to the process is the same as destroying one’s dreams. Don’t look for outstanding results if you’re not putting in outstanding effort.

Are you fully committed or are you simply going through the motions? Today’s a good day to start giving 100%.

God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
