No One is Justified By the Law, but By Faith in Jesus Christ

Happy Tuesday Saints.

Galatians 2:15-16 “WE WHO ARE JEWS BY BIRTH AND NOT SINFUL GENTILES, KNOW THAT A PERSON IS NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, BUT BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. SO WE, TOO, HAVE PUT OUR FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS, THAT WE MAY BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN CHRIST AND NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, BECAUSE BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW NO ONE WILL BE JUSTIFIED.”

Did you catch that Saints? NO ONE IS JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW – NO ONE! Not even God’s own people – those who were JEWS BY BIRTH.

The Old Testament Laws serve two primary purposes. Firstly, they show us how holy and perfect God is. He is righteous in every way. There is no unrighteousness in Him. Secondly, they reveal how imperfect we are. Unlike God, we are weak and sinful. So the Old Testament laws show all of us our desperate need for a Saviour!

None of us can be justified by the law because no one can keep ALL of it PERFECTLY without breaking one. And if we break ONE, the Bible tells us that we are guilty of breaking ALL of it.

A perfect and just God requires perfect obedience to the law. Because He is just, ALL lawlessness (no matter how trivial you think some sins are) must be punished.

But God is also LOVING. So to satisfy His justice, He lovingly sent His Son to fulfil ALL that the law required. Along with living a perfect, sinless life, Jesus died on the cross and took the punishment for our sins.

And now, anyone who places their FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS is JUSTIFIED BY FAITH IN CHRIST AND NOT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW.

Some people think that they’ll be saved from the wrath of God because of their family ties. Others think they’ll be saved because of their efforts to be law-abiding citizens. Still, some think that because they are “not as bad as others,” that they’ll be saved. These are all different forms of WORK, but for us to be saved, ONLY JESUS’ WORK will satisfy God.

If you BELIEVE IN JESUS and all that He has accomplished – YOU ARE SAVED.

Enjoy your salvation today. God bless, and lots’a love, Warren
