The Moana Pasifika Super Rugby side is dedicating their historic first ever match, a pre-season hit out against the Gallagher Chiefs – to relief efforts in Tonga.
“We invite you to be part of ‘Ofa Atu Tonga’ to help raise funds for those affected by the recent volcanic eruption and tsunami”.
Laauli Sir Michael Jones says this game has special meaning for Moana Pasifika. “Not only is it our first hit-out at our home base Mt Smart Stadium, but it will also be about supporting the Tongan community in these really difficult times.”
Fans and supporters are invited to donate online and go into the draw to win the side’s Heritage Jersey signed by the team.
