Happy Tuesday Saints.
Ephesians 4:26 “AND DON’T SIN BY LETTING ANGER CONTROL YOU. DON’T LET THE SUN GO DOWN WHILE YOU ARE STILL ANGRY.”
Anger is an odd feeling, isn’t it? It’s an emotion that we quickly identify in others but we seldom acknowledge in ourselves.
It’s not a sin to be angry. It’s a natural emotion that we all feel when something is wrong or when we are facing a negative situation.
It’s a good emotion to have when it drives you to change things for the better or when it motivates you to find answers and solutions to life’s problems.
According to today’s passage, it is possible to be angry and NOT SIN. Your anger doesn’t have to control you. With the right heart, it can motivate you and compel you to do what’s necessary to make things better, or right a wrong, or fight against an injustice.
If your heart is full of good. Good will rise up from within you to solve what you’re angry about.
It’s when our hearts are full of toxic and harmful thoughts and our anger is caused by selfish reasons that it can result in a lot of problems for us.
Saints, with God’s help, anger doesn’t have to control us. It doesn’t have to cause us to sin or provoke us to say things that we will later regret. If you’ll recognise the difference between healthy anger and selfish unhealthy rage, you can control when, how, and if you respond.
When your heart is filled with GOOD, then controlling your anger will produce GOOD results. In any case, it’s always good to have your cup overflowing with God’s goodness. Because if it isn’t, no one will like what they see when you are angry.
As we saw yesterday, the good treasure stored up within your heart will produce marvellous results. And that’s true even when you’re overwhelmed or under pressure.
Continue to invest time into filling your heart with all that is good. The resulting fruit will be a great blessing.
Have an awesome day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
