Happy Tuesday Saints.
James 1:22 “DO NOT MERELY LISTEN TO THE WORD, AND SO DECEIVE YOURSELVES. DO WHAT IT SAYS.”
As many of you already know, faith without works is DEAD. If God’s Word isn’t put into ACTION, you won’t experience or see Biblical results. Likewise, when we don’t ACT UPON what the Holy Spirit has placed in our hearts to do, we can’t expect to experience God’s resulting life and peace.
Today’s verse tells us not to deceive ourselves. Merely listening to God’s Word won’t produce any results in our lives until we step out and DO WHAT IT SAYS.
This simple, yet profound truth, applies to every principle of success.
Our bookshelves are stacked with books that contain so much wisdom and knowledge just waiting to be released by our actions.
Many of us don’t need another book to add to our overflowing libraries. The principles contained within the books will join the rest of our unused knowledge and understanding.
Deep down in your heart of hearts, you already know what you have to do. The only thing worse than ignorance is actually knowing what you need to do and NOT DOING IT.
Merely listening, reading, and learning, aren’t enough. We deceive ourselves into thinking that we’ve accomplished something by simply learning something new. But if that knowledge is left unused it becomes like faith without works – DEAD.
It’s time to put all the good that you know to do into action. It’s time to MOVE and make things happen. It’s time to get things moving in the right direction so that you can expect great things to take place in the future.
