Happy Tuesday Saints.

Let’s look at the rest of Galatians 6:14. “MAY I NEVER BOAST EXCEPT IN THE CROSS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THROUGH WHICH THE WORLD HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED TO ME, AND I TO THE WORLD.”

The Apostle Paul didn’t boast in himself, in others, in religious practices, or in his own achievements – he boasted IN THE CROSS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

THE CROSS should be central in the life of every Christian. Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead opened the door for God to forgive us of our sins and deliver us from the punishment of those sins.

The cross is the key to our liberty. It sets us free from sin’s power, the flesh’s dominance, and the world’s overbearing influence.

Paul stated that through the cross, “THE WORLD HAS BEEN CRUCIFIED TO ME.” Anything that the world could possibly offer is nothing compared to the life and liberty that we now have in Christ.

Romans 6:6 says that “WE KNOW THAT OUR OLD SELF WAS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM.” As we grow in our understanding of God’s Word and mature spiritually to become more Christlike, the world becomes more and more dead to us.

If we don’t learn to boast in the cross, we will continue to boast in ourselves. Boasting in the cross can help us put our egos and self-reliance to rest.

The only reason why we can receive eternal life is because Jesus kept God’s commandments PERFECTLY, and then He DIED ON THE CROSS for our transgressions.

If you take away the CROSS, we’ve got nothing. We have no hope. We can’t be justified, and we can’t be saved.

Without the cross, we remain dead in our trespasses and enslaved to sin, but – IF THE SON SETS YOU FREE, YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED.

Saints, let the world be CRUCIFIED to you, and you to the world. Live free and “DO NOT LET YOURSELVES BE BURDENED AGAIN BY A YOKE OF SLAVERY.” (Galatians 5:1)

Have a wonderful day. God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
