Unforgiveness blocks any chance of reconciliation. As we saw yesterday, there is no limit to the amount of times that we are to forgive others. Our forgiveness is expected to be given whenever there is an offence.
The Bible makes no excuses for unforgiveness. It offers us absolutely no right to remain bitter or hold a grudge against anyone. When we remain offended it prevents us from listening to others and it keeps us from moving forward.
Whoever you hold a grudge against, you won’t be able to listen to.
Proverbs 18:19 tells us that “AN OFFENDED BROTHER IS MORE UNYIELDING THAN A STRONG CITY.” Unforgiveness prevents any attempts of reconciliation from taking place.
It’s time to let it go. Forgive those who’ve wronged you and give them the same mercy that God has given you. (Col 3:13)
