Happy Tuesday Saints.
In line with being content with what you have, you also control how much you enjoy what you’ve got right now.
The New Living Translation of Ecclesiastes 8:15 says, “I RECOMMEND HAVING FUN, BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING BETTER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAN TO EAT, DRINK, AND ENJOY LIFE. THAT WAY, THEY WILL EXPERIENCE SOME HAPPINESS ALONG WITH ALL THE HARD WORK GOD GIVES THEM UNDER THE SUN.”
There is always a lot to get done. God created you on purpose for a purpose. You’ve got work to do.
But you have to learn to unplug from the daily grind, and take some time out to have some fun and enjoy your life.
We won’t be able to enjoy what we have now if we are always focused on what we are lacking.
For some people, their cup is overflowing. God has provided them with more than what they actually need. But instead of appreciating what they have, their preoccupation with what’s lacking has robbed them of their joy.
Our ability to enjoy life isn’t really impacted by what we have; it’s affected by our attitude. I’ve seen kids in Samoa have more fun with a tin can than some wealthy kids have with expensive toys.
It wasn’t the tins that gave the kids joy. It was their playful attitude that enabled them to enjoy the tin cans. They didn’t just appreciate what little they had; they learned to make the most of it and have fun.
You control how much you enjoy what you’ve got. And it doesn’t start by looking at what’s in front of you; it begins with having a great attitude.
Saints, you are blessed. You’ve got so much to be thankful for. Take some time out to enjoy what you’ve got and be happy.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
