Double Celebration for Mango Tree Golf School – Celebrating Samoa’s 60th Anniversary on their 11th Birthday

27 May 2023, Fagalii Apia Samoa. #NewsNow. It’s all happening at the Fagalii Golf Course on this beautiful Saturday in Apia as the Mango Tree Golf School come together with friends and supporters for a double celebration.

The day began with a prayer by one of the founding members of Mango Tree, Reverend KF Tuuau. This was followed by a flag raising ceremony in honor of Samoa’s year-long 60th anniversary of independence which comes to a close this week.

It is also the Mango Tree’s 11th birthday and the double celebration is being marked by a Golf tournament sponsored by the club’s No.1 supporters and favorite beer manufacturers – Taula Beverages.

More than 60 teams have registered in this year’s Independence Tournament. A notable number of teams are led by EFKS faifeau, enjoying a well-deserved day of golf after their two-week long fonotele (annual general conference).

The Mango Tree Golf club started 11 years ago and today, it’s 40 members include many leaders in business, government, church and civil society. Their current President is former Manu Samoa 15s and 7s star, Lilomaiava Taufusi “Stau” Salesa.

The Mango Tree Golf School acknowledged the support of Taula to make the celebrations today possible.
