Bank South Pacific showed support for the FITMAN Conference 2020 with a sponsorship of $7,000 cash which included registration for 20 men to attend the event.
The FITMAN conference held on the 13th and 14th of November at the Sheraton Samoa was a transformational event focused at renewing mindsets and striving for Chist-like attitudes amongst the men who attended.
Pastor Lenny Solomona who coordinated and hosted the program said, “FITMAN Conference gives men an opportunity to discover their purpose in life based on biblical principles and to become a FITMAN physically, mentally and spiritually;
“Society has well documented the growing concerns surrounding man’s inability to lead and protect his family and as a result, the home has at times become unsafe. FITMAN desires to change this by transforming men and changing mindset in a spiritual manner.”
In the fight against Family and Sexual and Gender Based Violence, BSP launched the #BlackThursday awareness campaign in July 2020 where BSP employees across the Pacific region wear black, every Thursday, to spread awareness on Family, Sexual and Gender Based Violence.
BSP Samoa Country Head, Taituuga Maryann Lameko-Vaai said, “As a community, we must stand together to amplify the message that Family, Sexual and Gender Based violence is not acceptable. We must support NGOs and initiatives that promote, develop and foster healthy relationships in our communities.”
The sponsorship was accepted by Pastor Lenny Solomona and he thanked BSP for supporting this initiative.
