Since 2014, Bluesky has sponsored the Iva Sevens tournament held every year in Savai’i.
This annual event has also become a fun family day for the whole of Savai’i. Bluesky Samoa provided bouncy castles, games, loads of prizes and giveaways. There was a mVIP Tent with the best view of the Rugby 7s action filled with lots of free food & beverage for the kids.
Satish Sharma, Bluesky CEO says its about developing the sport of rugby at the grassroots level for them.
“Our sponsorship of the Bluesky Iva Sevens in Savai’i is something we’re passionate about and it shows in the way we’ve always supported our Manu Samoa 7s team;
“The passion for the sport is inspiring and for us as naming sponsors this is a great way to continue to grow the game at a grass roots level. We see so much talent in Savai’i and we want to help grow it.”
Bluesky’s Roadshow Teams were also offering affordable mobile phones, dongles, mifi’s and 4G Routers suitable for the entire family – this special offer was made especially for the people of Savaii during the week of the Bluesky Iva Savaii 7s.

The Bluesky Iva Savai’i Sevens tournament started on Friday 25th October with 4 female teams from Savai’i and 16 Men’s Clubs contending for the trophy.

The grand final trophy game for the Mens Pool was between Aana Chiefs and SSAB Tamauli Salelologa on Day 2 – whereby Aana Chiefs won the grand final 12 to 7.
Aana Chiefs happily walked away as champions with $11,000 tala prize money. The MVP Tulolo Tulolo from Aana Chiefs stood out the entire 2 day tournament taking home a brand new Samsung J2 Core and Bluesky Merchandise.
Taga Women’s also walking away as Champions with 21 points to Iva White Girls wiith 5 points.
“This was my first Bluesky Iva Savaii 7s experience and it was wonderful to see the whole community come out and support. The Children were so excited to have a fun day and we were happy to bring such joy here in Savai’i,” said Satish Sharam, Bluesky Samoa’s CEO.
