Happy Wednesday Saints.
Proverbs 11:25 in the Amplified Bible says “THE GENEROUS MAN IS A SOURCE OF BLESSING AND SHALL BE PROSPEROUS AND ENRICHED, AND HE WHO WATERS WILL HIMSELF BE WATERED, REAPING THE GENEROSITY HE HAS SOWN.”
The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:2 that in the last days, “PEOPLE WILL BE LOVERS OF THEMSELVES.”
As we get closer to Christ’s triumphant return, there will be an increase in selfishness, narcissism, and self-centeredness.
People will look out for themselves but as Christians, we want to be A SOURCE OF BLESSING to others.
When we are generous with what we have, the spiritual law of ‘sowing and reaping’ sees what we gave, return to us.
In the last days, people won’t care much about the pain and suffering of others. They’ll be too self-absorbed to look out for others. They won’t care if others are unwell, struggling, lonely, discouraged, or facing hardship.
But you’ve got the Holy Spirit living inside you. He is loving, kind, caring and generous. He can help us get over ourselves. Generosity isn’t an amount, it’s an unselfish condition of the heart.
The generous soul doesn’t wait until it has plenty before it starts giving and serving others. And oddly enough, regardless of what it has, the generous soul always has something to give because they’re always REAPING THE GENEROSITY OF WHAT THEY’VE SOWN.
Take your eyes off of yourself for the next few days and see who you can be a SOURCE of blessing to.
Have a wonderful day looking out for others.
God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
