FAITH THAT PERSEVERES

2Thessalonians 1:4 “Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.”

Paul was proud of the Thessalonian believers, but not because life was going well for them. They faced persecution and trials, yet they kept trusting Christ. THEIR FAITH PERSEVERED UNDER PRESSURE.

This challenges the idea that strong faith should produce a trouble-free life. Paul didn’t tell them that their suffering proved they lacked faith. He pointed to their perseverance in suffering as evidence of their faith.

The strength of our faith isn’t only revealed when prayers are answered the way we hoped and circumstances improve. Sometimes it’s revealed when circumstances don’t change, yet we continue trusting God.

Biblical faith doesn’t deny pain and it doesn’t pretend everything is fine. It holds onto Christ in the middle of difficulty.

Sometimes God delivers us FROM the trial. Sometimes God strengthens us THROUGH the trial. But either way, HE REMAINS FAITHFUL.

Perhaps you’re walking through something today that you wish God would remove. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep following Christ.

FAITH DOESN’T MEAN WE NEVER STRUGGLE. FAITH MEANS WE KEEP TRUSTING GOD IN THE STRUGGLE.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, when I face difficulties, help me not to assume that You have abandoned me or that my faith has failed. Give me strength to persevere and continue trusting You even when my circumstances don’t change. Keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and remind me that You are faithful through every trial. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
