PM Tuilaepa congratulates Tusiga

As one of the graduates from this year’s Leadership Program, Tusiga Peseta Taofiga was personally congratulated by Prime Minister Tuilaepa Lupesoliai Dr. Sailele Malielegaoi.

Tusiga is one the the Prime Minister’s media staff with the Ministry of Prime Minister and Cabinet.

He is a senior Samoan reporter with the Savali Newspaper and as the first MPMC staff to take the 12 month Leadership Program, the Prime Minister is encouraging his staff to follow Tusiga’s example.

“Tusiga is an encouragement and he has proven again that there is no limitation to education,” said Tuilaepa.

“To Tusiga, my advice is to use the constructive criticisms to motivate him to continue with his pursuit.

“He has my blessing and wishing him the best in his endeavours.”

And the 23-year old is overwhelmed.

“Thank you to Prime Minister for his encouragement.

“It means the world to me and it will not be in vain,” said Tusiga who started as a junior reporter two years ago with the Savali Newspaper.

He acknowledges the endorsement from MPMC management and staff as well as his family and relatives who supported him promising that their generosity will not be forgotten.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

“The course has reaffirmed my resolve and determination never to quit,” says the 23 year old. “It has built my character to become more responsible in performing my duties as a professional employee.

“But most important, the programme has provided me with an in depth look into what it takes to become an exceptional leader.”
