Happy Monday Saints.
2Peter 1:12-13 “SO I WILL ALWAYS REMIND YOU OF THESE THINGS, EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW THEM AND ARE FIRMLY ESTABLISHED IN THE TRUTH YOU NOW HAVE. I THINK IT IS RIGHT TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY AS LONG AS I LIVE.”
You and I need REMINDING. Peter knew that it was necessary to REMIND the church of truths that they already knew and were already FIRMLY ESTABLISHED IN.
We all lose focus now and then. Our attention can be taken off God and His Word and given to the temporary things of the world around us. We are all liable to forget. And when God’s Word ceases to impact your life and behaviour, you can be sure that you’ve taken your eyes off the truth and that you need to be REMINDED.
Have you been feeling a little hopeless lately? Perhaps a little discouraged or disheartened? Do you need to be REMINDED of God’s love, goodness, faithfulness, power or provision?
Get some good, sound Biblical teaching and be REMINDED of how awesome God is. And even if your pastor is repeating things that you’ve already been established in, go to church this weekend and be REMINDED.
Like Peter wrote, “I THINK IT’S RIGHT TO REFRESH YOUR MEMORY.” And because he said he’d do it as long as he lived, it indicates that some truths will be repeated over and over again.
Have an awesome week Saints. And instead of trying to discover something new, just REMIND yourself of some of the things that you already know. Meditate on them, REFRESH YOUR MEMORY and be filled with hope again and again and again – as long as you live!
God bless, and lots’a love,
