WHEN PRAYER IS HINDERED
Proverbs 28:9 “If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.”
Prayer is powerful—but not when it comes from a heart that refuses to obey God’s Word. When we reject His commands, we show that we are not truly seeking Him. In such a case, prayer becomes empty words, because OBEDIENCE AND PRAYER CAN’T BE SEPARATED.
God isn’t looking for eloquent prayers but for surrendered hearts. When we treasure His Word and walk in obedience, our prayers rise before Him with power and favour. But when we stubbornly ignore His truth, even our prayers become offensive, for they reveal a heart unwilling to submit.
If we desire God’s ear in prayer, we must first give Him our hearts and our willingness to obey.
Prayer:
Father, forgive me for the times I’ve prayed without obeying. Help me to listen to Your Word and walk in Your ways, so that my prayers may be pleasing to You. Teach me to honour You not only with my lips, but with my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
Have a fabulous day. God bless and lots’a love,
