Psalm 119:105 “YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO GUIDE MY FEET AND A LIGHT FOR MY PATH.”
If you haven’t started working on the changes that you know you need to make, what are you waiting for?
Sometimes, Christians use ‘waiting on the Lord’ as an excuse to remain inactive. Their passivity results in a lifeless form of religion that produces no positive change or results.
The Bible is the revealed will of God. The Scriptures light our path and show us how to live and what to do. Much of what’s written doesn’t require any further praying about whether or not you should act upon it. You don’t need to pray about whether or not you should be taking care of your physical body; or if you should spend time with the Lord and read your Bible; or if you should be diligent at your job; or if you should be considerate of others; or if you should forgive those who’ve wronged you.
You don’t need to query whether or not you should bear the fruit of the Spirit and be more loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled.
As we’ve already seen this week – you already KNOW WHAT TO DO. Between the Word of God and the Spirit of God – what you need to do to succeed in 2022 is CLEAR. God’s Word is a LAMP for our feet and a LIGHT to our path. He doesn’t show us what to do so that we can be excited about our newfound knowledge. He lights the path for us to WALK on. He shines a light for our feet expecting us to MOVE and ACT.
While many are waiting upon the Lord for direction, He is waiting on us to DO what’s already been revealed to us in His Written Word. Make this is a year of ACTION. A year of less talking and more walking. As you follow God and walk in the light of His Word, your life WILL IMPROVE and CHANGE.
