ALWAYS GROWING

1Thessalonians 3:10 “Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.”

Paul had already praised the Thessalonian believers for their faith. He described them as a model to other churches, commended their love and perseverance, and rejoiced that they were standing firm in the Lord. Yet he also prayed that he might return to them and “supply what is lacking” in their faith.

Paul wasn’t suggesting that their faith was defective or insincere. Rather, he recognised that EVERY BELIEVER HAS ROOM TO GROW. No matter how spiritually mature we become, there’s always more to learn about God, more of His Word to understand, and more ways in which our lives can be conformed to the likeness of Christ.

This is why faithful biblical teaching is so important. The Christian life isn’t simply about making a decision to follow Jesus. It’s about growing in grace, deepening our understanding of Scripture, strengthening our discernment, and becoming increasingly obedient to God’s will.

Sadly, some Christians stop growing because they assume they already know enough. Others become content with shallow teaching that never challenges them to mature. But God’s desire is that we continue growing throughout our lives. Peter wrote, “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2Peter 3:18).

Ask yourself today, “Am I still growing?” Do you hunger for God’s Word? Are you becoming more like Christ than you were a year ago? None of us has arrived. Until the Lord calls us home, WE ALL HAVE ROOM TO GROW IN OUR FAITH.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the work You have already done in my life through Jesus Christ. Help me never to become complacent in my walk with You. Give me a hunger for Your Word and a teachable heart. Continue to strengthen my faith, deepen my knowledge of You, and shape me into the likeness of Christ. May I keep growing until the day I stand before You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
