The driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser that swerved off the road and fell 100 meters down a cliff, has escaped with minor injuries.
The single car accident happened at around 10am on Sunday morning according to the drivers son who was on site with the team of Uhrle Auto and Towing to recover the fallen vehicle.
The vehicle was heading from Apia towards Solosolo and swerved off the side of the road down a cliff just after one of the bends on the windy roads near Eva and Solosolo.
Despite the 100-meter drop and the vehicle facing the opposite side from its initial direction, the heavy duty Toyota Land Cruiser remained intact and the driver escaped with minor injuries.
The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution however he has been released. Viia le Alii.
