Approved Schedule of Flights to Transport Seasonal Workers to NZ & AUST

APPROVED SCHEDULE OF FLIGHTS TO TRANSPORT SEASONAL WORKERS TO NZ & AUST. (23^rd February 2022)

(GOVT. PRESS SECRETARIAT) Cabinet at its meeting FK (22) 06 discussed and approved the following schedule of charted flights to transport  RSE & Seasonal Workers to New Zealand and Australia as follows;

FLIGHTS TO AUSTRALIA DURING MARCH 2022

•  01 March 2022 : Flight to transport Seasonal workers contracted to work for 7-9 months in Victoria Australia.
• 07 March 2022 : Flight to take Seasonal workers contracted to work for 3 years in Queensland Australia.
• 23 March 2022 : Flight to uplift Seasonal workers contracted to work for 3 years in Victoria Australia.
• 25 March 2022 : Flight to take Seasonal workers to Australia contracted to work for 7-9 months in Queensland.

FLIGHTS TO NEW ZEALAND DURING MARCH 2022

•  08 March 2022 : Flight to transport RSE workers to work in New Zealand for 7-9 months.
• 15 March 2022 : Flight to transport RSE workers to work in New Zealand for 7-9 months.
• 27 March 2022: Flight to transport RSE workers to work in New Zealand for 7-9 months.
• 29 March 2022 : Flight to transport RSE workers to work for 7-9 months to New Zealand.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Labor, (MCIL) will continue to manage and monitor the areas of training for all RSE and Seasonal workers who will be traveling for part-time work to gain knowledge for the prevention from the pandemic COVID-19 disease and for better understanding of employment contract terms.

The National Emergency Operation Centre (N.E.O.C.) has been tasked to coordinate
and monitor these flights, while the Ministry of Health continues to lead the COVID-19 border protection, through enforcement of compliance with Samoa’s travel
advisory.
