A ceremony to mark the ground breaking of three major school projects in the country has been organised to take place this Thursday.

Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Aeau Chris Hazelman confirmed to the Savali News this afternoon.

This ceremony will be for three school construction projects funded by the Chinese Government and is scheduled to take place at Malifa if all goes to plan.

The schools are; Apia Primary School, St Theresa Primary School and Lepea Primary School.

This is the first time that a ceremony of this sort will take place marking the ground breaking of three events in one ceremony, as well as the first time a church school has been involved in such an initiative he said.

St Theresa’s request was put in more than 20 years ago and will just now become reality, said Aeau.

The CEO did not reveal any further details regarding the 3-in-1 ceremony but that the media will be informed accordingly of the full information regarding when and where the event will materialise.

Deputy Prime Minister Tuala Tevaga Iosefo Ponifasio is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at this 3-in-1 ceremony.

Also opening its doors after construction is Lalomalava Primary School in Savaii, also this Thursday.

Minister of Education and Culture Seuula Ioane Tuā’au is expected to give the keynote address.
