The Samoa Cancer Society held its Annual General Meeting on 16 December 2023 at Pickled Lam, which had been delayed since 2021 due to the impacts of the pandemic. The President’s reports by Lauaki Jason Annandale and the independently audited accounts undertaken by Leota & Niumata Chartered Accountants for 2021 and 2022 were endorsed by members.

The meeting unanimously endorsed the continuation of the Honourable Valasi Luapitofanua To’ogamaga Tafito Selesele, the Minister of Health as Patron of the Society and Leota & Niumata Chartered Accountants as the independent auditors. The next Annual General Meeting will convene in March/April 2024 returning the Society to the normal governance meeting time. The meeting also endorsed the term of Board members to be for one year rather than three years.
