An accident at Matautu wharf saw a white sedan crushed under a 40-foot container.
No-one was inside the sedan which was parked at the Matautu wharf at the time of the accident.
The incident happened around 11:30am on Thursday morning, witnesses said.
The entire front part of the vehicle including the drivers seat, was completely crushed under the container.
A witness who provided photos, Amuia T Afereti, told Samoa Global News that the container was being moved by a container handler when it slipped and fell onto the parked car.
“Ua lucky e le’i iai se isi i totonu o le taavale i le taimi na tupu ai le faalavelave.”
“Lucky no-one was inside the car when the accident happened.”
Witnesses say the container handler had lost control, causing the container to fall onto the vehicle.
