The Marist Saint Joseph’s Sports Club uttered sincere gratitude while accepting their ten thousand tala sponsorship from long-standing partner, Samoa Stationery and Books.
The sponsorship of five thousand tala (5,000) cash and five thousand tala (5,000) in-kind contributions was presented to the Executive of the Sports Club by the CEO of SSAB, Tofialu Fiti Leung Wai and Marketing and Communications Manager of SSAB, Asomua Asia Stanley.
“This is the 6th year of our Sports Season that includes all sports registered under the umbrella of the Marist Sports Club and SSAB has been our Silver Sponsor for as long as I can remember” says the Marist Sports Club Tournaments Director, Taupau Alex Mikaele.
The newly elected President of Marist Saint Joseph’s Sports Club, Pouniu Peter Schmidt praised God for SSAB’s dedication and acknowledged the ongoing support from the company’s CEO, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai and her husband Aumua Ming Leung Wai for many years.
“We convey our appreciation to the CEO of SSAB, Tofilau Fiti and her husband Aumua Ming who is a staunch supporter of the Marist Sports Club and the Marist fraternity. Thank you for always responding to our many requests from the past even up to this day. We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for your hearts to help us” added the Marist President.
Pouniu acknowledged SSAB’s consistent support for not only the Marist Sports Club but also other Sport Clubs in the country and the community as a whole.
“We continue to witness on the media the diversity of support SSAB offers the community, helping organisations, groups or sports clubs ike the us”
CEO Tofilau honored God for his favour and protection over SSAB especially at these unprecedented times.
“I praise God for His favour upon SSAB because it is His favour which allows us the opportunity to provide the support needed by our community and people” says CEO Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai.
SSAB’s heart since its inception is to help the people of Samoa and give back to the community.
“This morning is a blessing for us all and we praise God for His blessings. SSAB has decided to support the Marist Sports Club sports season this year 2022” says the CEO of SSAB, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai.
SSAB’s major focus at the start was providing the support needed by schools for their academic activities and years later CEO Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai decided to extend her company’s support to sports and school athletics. The Marist Sports Club has been one of the first Sports Club in Samoa that SSAB supported.
“Since the start of SSAB I only thought of supporting schools because of my heart for education but later on I decided to branch into sports and others” said Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai.
Tofilau wished the Marist Sports Club Executive the very best with the coordination of the Sports Club activities this year.
““I pray for God’s blessings upon your executive as you lead our Sports Club this year. There will always be challenges along the way but we depend on God’s guidance and peace so we can continue to do our work to benefit the youths and talents of Samoa” said Tofilau.
