Mailo Potu Leavasa Makes Changes to Junior Manu Samoa v Junior Ikale Tahi

March 2024; Tuanaimato, Samoa: The Junior Manu Samoa Head Coach, Mailo Potu Leavasa, has introduced seven debutants to his line-up for their crucial encounter against Pacific rivals, Junior Ikale Tahi, in Round 2 of the Oceania Rugby U20 Challenge 2024.

The match is set for Saturday, March 2nd 2024, kicking off at 5:30pm at North Harbour Stadium, Auckland, New Zealand.

Coach Mailo has also made five adjustments to the starting line-up following their recent defeat to the invitational side Moana Pasifika U20s.

Experienced duo Fa’alava Toetu Afamasaga and Maoaluma Pasa will lead the halves, stepping in for Ravuama Seruvakula, who moves to the bench, and Taufaga Junior Taufaga, sidelined due to injury.

Epati Motu secures a starting role on the wing, relegating Thomas Moors to the bench.

Kitiona Samoa Asovale earns the outside center position after an impressive display in the previous match, prompting Panaua Niulevea’s transition to the wing, while Peneli Opetai is unavailable due to injury.

Additionally, Maanaina Leuluai joins the bench to provide cover for the flyhalf position.

This match between Junior Manu Samoa and Junior Ikale Tahi serves as the qualifier to confirm the Oceania representative to the World Rugby U20s Trophy competition scheduled for July in Scotland.
