Happy Wednesday Saints.
Hopefully, you’re beginning to understand our desperate need for the Saviour Jesus Christ. As we saw yesterday, “SALVATION IS FOUND IN NO ONE ELSE.” (Acts 4:12)
Jesus said in John 14:16, “I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.”
Contrary to popular belief, all roads don’t lead to God. All religions are not equal, and all the different roads, regardless of the one you choose – don’t all lead to the One, true living God.
Jesus said that there is only ONE WAY to the Father.
Jesus didn’t come to save us so that we could join a church, or a denomination, or a religious organisation. 2Corinthians 5:19 in the Amplified version says, “IT WAS GOD PERSONALLY PRESENT IN CHRIST, RECONCILING AND RESTORING THE WORLD TO FAVOR WITH HIMSELF, NOT COUNTING UP AND HOLDING AGAINST MEN THEIR TRESPASSES, BUT CANCELLING THEM.”
God was in Christ, doing everything that was necessary to reconcile us “TO HIMSELF.” He paid the penalty for our sins and cancelled our debt so that we could have a relationship with God. Christianity is not a religion – it’s a relationship.
Every other religion is focused on our works and on what we can do to make ourselves right or good enough. 1Corinthians 1:18 says that “THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS IS FOOLISHNESS TO THOSE WHO ARE PERISHING.”
The message of the cross seems foolish to those who are trying to earn their salvation. It’s foolish to those who won’t accept God’s provision and instead want to choose their own way. It’s foolish to those who can’t accept the fact that Jesus did all the work, and all we have to do is BELIEVE.
Instead of being upset that there’s only ONE WAY, everyone should rejoice at the fact that GOD MADE A WAY and did the impossible for mankind. Hallelujah!
Have a great day. God bless, and lots’a love,
