Romans 10:17 “FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.”
You have control over your beliefs. You determine how much faith you have. Today’s passage tells us how faith is acquired – it COMES BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD.
You have complete control over who and what you listen to. You may not be able to control what other people say, but you can determine how much emphasis and how much power you want to give their statements.
Negative opinions can be replaced with God’s Promises. You control how long you dwell on the negative. You can quickly fix your thoughts on the WORD OF GOD and strengthen your faith or remain fixated on the negative beliefs of others and remain doubtful.
If you can control who and what you listen to, then you can control what you believe, which will directly affect your attitude. So, you have complete control over your attitude as well.
Too many blame others for their mood, their negative feelings, their pessimistic attitude, their anger, their unforgiveness and their resentment. They don’t take any responsibility for how they are feeling. It’s always someone else’s fault that they are upset, unhappy or anxious.
Saints, that’s way too much power to give to other people. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up placing your beliefs and your emotional stability in the unpredictable hands of others.
Your beliefs and your attitude are two areas that are within your own control. WIN CONTROL OVER YOURSELF in these areas and you’ll one day see that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE.
