Happy Wednesday Saints.
Yesterday, we looked at comforting the fainthearted.
Philippians 2:4 says “LET EACH OF YOU LOOK OUT NOT ONLY FOR HIS OWN INTERESTS BUT ALSO FOR THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.”
Sometimes, we are so consumed with what we are doing and facing personally that we fail to see the misery and hardship of others.
Weeks and months can go by without having any real connection with fellow believers and yet Hebrews 3:13 tells us to “ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER EVERY DAY.”
Galatians 6:2 says to “CARRY ONE ANOTHER’S BURDENS, AND THIS WAY YOU WILL FULFIL THE LAW OF CHRIST.”
Again, if you consider yourself to be strong, don’t be too harsh on those who feel like giving up.
You are strategically positioned to help them. Lay your own interests aside for a moment and take the time to reach out to someone who is discouraged and demoralized.
You’ve been down in the past and the Lord helped get you through it. 2Corinthians 1:4 tells us that the Lord “COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TROUBLES SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT OTHERS. WHEN THEY ARE TROUBLED WE WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE THEM THE SAME COMFORT GOD HAS GIVEN US.”
If you are strong, you have a responsibility to comfort, encourage and uplift the downcast.
May the God of all comfort use you in a mighty way to bring comfort to those around you.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
