22 July 2020, Mulinuu Apia. A woman facing 10 charges of theft, using forged documents and obtaining by deception changed her not guilty plea to guilty during Supreme Court criminal mentions before Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese earlier this week.
The Court heard that the offenses involving forged documents and signatures on bank cheques took place between May and June 2019, and impacted several victims.
Winnienora Stowers is on bail to await sentencing set for the 4th of August.
During an earlier court appearance, Ms Stower’s mother scolded the media for putting her daughter’s photo up on news items.
