A former employee of a company called Central Corporate Service Ltd appeared in the Supreme Court today.

The matter was called before His Honour, Chief Justice, Patu Tiavasue Falefatu Sapolu.

Prosecution was Lucy Marioe Sio.

Irene Fa’atafa is charged with thefts as a servant, forgery and false accounting.

She is represented by lawyer Afamasaga Michael Soonalole, however Donald Kerslake appeared on behalf of Afamasaga as he is in Savaii.

Inside the court room today Mr. Kerslake told the court that Ms. Faatafa pleaded not guilty to all the charges against her.

According to the prosecution she is facing 46 counts of theft as a servant, 22 counts of forgery and 34 counts of false accounting.

The incident occurred last year in between January to December.

Chief Justice adjourned the matter to next year for hearing.

“The court has noted down your not guilty plea through your counsel,” Chief Justice told the defendant.

“This matter is adjourned for hearing on the week commencing the 10th of May, 2019.

“Bail conditions to continue.”

Speaking to the Samoa Global Afamasaga said the amount of money that is in question is more than $50,000.

The company that his client was working for was a private Company with only two employees his client and one other employee.

His client was the Manager for this company.
