Happy Friday Saints.
Psalm 92:12-14 “THE RIGHTEOUS WILL FLOURISH LIKE A PALM TREE, THEY WILL GROW LIKE A CEDAR OF LEBANON; PLANTED IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD, THEY WILL FLOURISH IN THE COURTS OF OUR GOD. THEY WILL STILL BEAR FRUIT IN OLD AGE, THEY WILL STAY FRESH AND GREEN.” Like we saw yesterday – YOU CAN GROW. You can change.
You can be a totally different person in a year or two. Brother Kelly Duininck once said, “You can grow as quickly as you want to.” And it all comes down to what YOU do and where YOU place yourself. Plant a seed in the wrong place at the wrong time and it won’t grow. For us to flourish and grow as Christians, we have to be PLANTED IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.
Many Christians have a desire to grow, change, and overcome negative behaviors but they plant themselves in the wrong environment, surround themselves with the wrong people, and waste a lot of time on the wrong things. They plant the wrong seeds and yet expect to see a good harvest. With God, we don’t just have the ability to grow and flourish but we can STILL BEAR FRUIT IN OLD AGE and we can STAY FRESH AND GREEN.
God is life. When you remain tapped into the true vine, you WILL grow and be fruitful. When we disconnect ourselves from the source of life we won’t have the grace and power that we need to grow and flourish. That’s why it really is UP TO YOU how much you grow this year. Wanting to grow without connecting with God is like expecting an unplugged lamp to light up a room. It just won’t happen. There is no time like the present to pray, read God’s Word, and renew your mind. Don’t worry about what you could’ve done or should’ve done in the past. You can’t change it. But you do have now, and if you’ll use your time wisely, you can become a completely different person in the future. Have a great weekend. God bless and lots’a love, Warren
