Proverbs 9:12 “If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.”
Our choices have consequences. When we choose to walk in wisdom, we are assured of rewards—peace, understanding, guidance, and a life aligned with God’s purpose. Wisdom leads to stability and fulfilment, enriching our lives and strengthening our walk with God.
On the other hand, mockers—those who reject correction and refuse to seek wisdom—are warned that they will suffer the consequences of their stubbornness. Mockery and pride might seem appealing in the moment, but they ultimately lead to regret and hardship. Their refusal to listen and learn isolates them from God’s blessing and leaves them vulnerable to the destructive effects of their choices.
Living wisely isn’t just about avoiding trouble; it’s about embracing the abundant rewards that come from following God’s truth. These include spiritual growth, inner peace, meaningful relationships, and a life that reflects God’s goodness. Wisdom is a treasure that pays eternal dividends—a life of purpose, stability, and joy.
Are you pursuing wisdom and listening to God’s guidance? Remember, choosing wisdom brings rewards that last—peace in your heart, clarity in your mind, inner strength, and favour from God. Conversely, rejecting wisdom can lead to suffering and missed blessings. Make the conscious decision today to seek God’s wisdom and walk in His ways.
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for the gift of wisdom and the promise of its rewards. Help me to choose wisdom daily—listening, learning, and applying Your truth. Guard me from pride and foolishness that lead to suffering. I desire a life that reflects Your goodness and receives Your blessings. Teach me to walk in Your wisdom so I can experience all the rewards You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a wonderful weekend. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
