Happy Tuesday Saints.

If you remember that Galatians 5 lists the difference between the ACTS OF THE FLESH and the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT, then Galatians 6:7-8 will make more sense.

It says, “DO NOT BE DECEIVED: GOD IS NOT MOCKED. A MAN REAPS WHAT HE SOWS. WHOEVER SOWS TO PLEASE THEIR FLESH WILL REAP DESTRUCTION; WHOEVER SOWS TO PLEASE THE SPIRIT, FROM THE SPIRIT WILL REAP ETERNAL LIFE.”

It’s easy to forget that our invisible yet omnipresent God sees EVERYTHING. Many of us live as though He’s not a witness to EVERYTHING we think, say, and do.

Many of us deceive ourselves into believing that we can think, say, and do whatever we want without any consequences. That we can gratify the desires of the flesh but still reap spiritual blessings.

The ACTS OF THE FLESH include things like sexual immorality, impurity, hatred, discord, jealousy, and selfishness. According to today’s passage – acts like these HAVE CONSEQUENCES, and when we sow TO PLEASE THE FLESH – we WILL reap DESTRUCTION.

Robert Louis Stevenson once said, “Sooner or later in life, we all sit down to a banquet of consequences.”

What are you sowing in thought, speech, and action? All of us are always planting. We plant all day, every day, and every choice that we make will either be to PLEASE THE FLESH or PLEASE THE SPIRIT. There is no middle ground.

One leads to DESTRUCTION, and the other to LIFE. And no matter how complex or stressful life can be, you ALWAYS have a choice as to whether you’ll sow to your FLESH or THE SPIRIT.

Choose wisely and live well. God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
