When you Believe In Jesus, Gods Spirit Changes You into a Child Of God

Happy Thursday Saints.

One of the reasons that ALL of us have sinned is that we are all born with a fallen, sinful nature.

Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God. But after they disobeyed God; (after the fall of mankind), we see in Genesis 5:3 that Adam “HAD A SON IN HIS OWN LIKENESS, AFTER HIS OWN IMAGE.”

You see, we are ALL born in the image and likeness of fallen Adam. Romans 5:12 says, “WHEN ADAM SINNED, SIN ENTERED THE WORLD. ADAM’S SIN BROUGHT DEATH, SO DEATH SPREAD TO EVERYONE, FOR EVERYONE SINNED.”

Verse 19 of the same chapter says that, “BY ONE MAN’S DISOBEDIENCE, MANY WERE MADE SINNERS.”

One of the reasons why I can’t do anything to make myself right with God is that I can’t do anything to change the fallen, sinful nature of my spirit.

Jesus said in John 3:3, “NO ONE CAN SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD UNLESS THEY ARE BORN AGAIN.”

When Nicodemus asked Him how one could be reborn, Jesus replied in verse 6 that “HUMANS CAN REPRODUCE ONLY HUMAN LIFE, BUT THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES BIRTH TO SPIRITUAL LIFE.”

The Contemporary English Version says, “ONLY GOD’S SPIRIT CAN CHANGE YOU INTO A CHILD OF GOD.”

Referring to Jesus, John 1:12 says, “TO ALL WHO DID RECEIVE HIM, WHO BELIEVED IN HIS NAME, HE GAVE THE RIGHT TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD.”

Salvation is a gift. It can’t be earned. It is a gift that must be RECEIVED by faith. John 3:16 says that, “GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.”

When you BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and that He rose again for your justification, you become a child of God, and you receive God’s gift
of EVERLASTING LIFE. Jesus made it possible for the Holy Spirit to recreate your human spirit. Hallelujah!
