Lamentations 3:22–23 “The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations was written in the aftermath of Jerusalem’s devastation—a time of loss, grief, and deep uncertainty. Yet in the very centre of sorrow, the prophet lifts his eyes to THE UNCHANGING FAITHFULNESS OF GOD.
These words remind us that hope doesn’t depend on circumstances, but on the steadfast mercy of the Lord, RENEWED EVERY SINGLE MORNING.
Today we begin again—not because yesterday or last year was perfect, but because God is faithful. A new year doesn’t promise an easy road, but it does offer fresh mercy for every step ahead. Before anything else defines 2026, let this truth settle your heart: God will be with you every step of the way.
New mercies mean new strength for obedience, new grace for growth, and new hope for whatever lies ahead. YOU DON’T CARRY THIS YEAR ALONE. The same Lord who sustained you in 2025 meets you today with compassion that hasn’t run dry.
As you step into this first day of 2026, begin not with pressure or promises, but with trust. Place the year into God’s hands. Walk forward attentively, dependently, and expectantly. Great is His faithfulness.
Prayer:
Faithful Father, thank You for new mercies this morning—and for new mercies for 2026. As I step into this new year, I place my life, my plans, and my future in Your hands. Lead me, sustain me, and shape me for Your purposes. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. Have a blessed first day of 2026. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
