THE SWEETNESS OF WISDOM
Proverbs 24:14 “Know also that wisdom is like honey for you: If you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
Just as honey is sweet to the taste and nourishing to the body, godly wisdom brings sweetness and strength to the soul.
Proverbs compares wisdom to honey because it enriches life—it makes the path clearer, the burdens lighter, and the future brighter.
We live in a world full of information but short on wisdom. .
True wisdom doesn’t come from headlines, opinions, or even experience alone—it comes from God. His Word reveals what is true, lasting, and life-giving. And the promise in this verse is beautiful: when you find God’s wisdom, you also find hope.
Not a temporary kind of hope, but one that “will not be cut off.” That means no matter what circumstances we face, wisdom anchors us in God’s unshakable promises.
Pursuing wisdom isn’t about becoming smarter—it’s about learning how to live in a way that reflects God’s heart. The more we seek His will, the more our lives are shaped by His peace, purpose, and joy.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the sweetness of Your wisdom. Help me to desire it more than anything else this world can offer. Teach me through Your Word and by Your Spirit so that my hope remains firm in You. Let Your wisdom guide my steps and fill my heart with lasting peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
