Happy Friday Saints.
In 2 Corinthians 1, the Apostle Paul wrote about the troubles that they faced in the province of Asia. Verse 8 says “WE WERE UNDER GREAT PRESSURE, FAR BEYOND OUR ABILITY TO ENDURE.”
In verse 9, he explained that “THIS HAPPENED THAT WE MIGHT NOT RELY ON OURSELVES BUT ON GOD.”
Thank God that when we come to the end of our own ability to endure hardship – WE CAN RELY ON GOD.
Very often when people quit, their focus is on themselves. THEY run out of THEIR OWN strength, THEY have lost THEIR joy and THEIR hope, and THEY can no longer endure the difficulties that they are facing.
Paul prayed in Colossians 1:11 that the church would be “STRENGTHENED WITH ALL POWER ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS MIGHT SO THAT YOU MAY HAVE GREAT ENDURANCE AND PATIENCE.”
God can give you GREAT ENDURANCE. He can give you the endurance that is exceedingly greater than the trials that you face in life. With God on your side, nothing (no matter how difficult) can stop you.
With His GREAT ENDURANCE, you can outlast any challenging times no matter how long they may continue.
Let the Lord give you what you need, not to survive, but to thrive in adversity. Like Psalm 23:5 says, “YOU PREPARE A TABLE BEFORE ME, IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES. YOU ANOINT MY HEAD WITH OIL, MY CUP OVERFLOWS.”
Have an awesome weekend. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
