Happy Monday Saints.
Galatians 2:4-5 “SOME FALSE BELIEVERS HAD INFILTRATED OUR RANKS TO SPY ON THE FREEDOM WE HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS AND TO MAKE US SLAVES. WE DID NOT GIVE INTO THEM SO THAT THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MIGHT BE PRESERVED FOR YOU.”
The Apostle Paul stood up for THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL, and he made a stand for the Gentiles. He wanted everyone in the early church to know that they didn’t have to become Jews or follow all the Mosaic laws to be saved.
FALSE BELIEVERS infiltrated the church and tried to get them to follow their traditions. Their practices would only enslave the early church and remove the FREEDOM they had IN CHRIST JESUS.
The FALSE BELIEVERS were believers by name only, but not by GRACE.
Jesus is the Gospel. He is the good news. Our faith is in HIM. Our faith isn’t in ourselves or in anything that we can say or do. We are utterly dependent upon Jesus for our salvation. He is God’s amazing grace personified.
Watch out for FALSE BELIEVERS who have hidden agendas. They’d rather place heavy burdens on people that they themselves can’t carry and use their influence to maintain control over others.
You have to be like Paul and NOT GIVE INTO THEM but have a firm hold on God’s Word. The truth will set you free and keep you free.
We are saved by grace through faith alone, and salvation is a GIFT from God.
