
Vodafone Samoa continues to support grassroots rugby in Samoa and have this week announced the continuation of a contract with the national rugby union.

The relationship between Vodafone Samoa and the Samoa Rugby Union recently rebranded Lakapi Samoa, is not new.
The telecommunications company has had a long and fruitful relationship with Lakapi Samoa teams over the years.
“From that time onwards we have worked tirelessly with Lakapi Samoa to grow the sport,” says Anish Chandra, CFO of Vodafone Samoa.
As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, Vodafone Samoa supports Lakapi Samoa in identifying and nurturing talent from grassroot level who will eventually represent the nation in international tournaments.
“Rugby is more than a sports, it’s a part of our national pride and identity. It has given Samoa international recognition and this sponsorship will contribute towards that goal of achieving excellence,” says Rana Bose, CCO of Vodafone Samoa.

Former Manu Samoa rep and Lakapi Samoa CEO, Vincent Fepuleai is delighted to again partner with Vodafone Samoa to support domestic competitions.

Vodafone has been sponsoring the local national 7s comp and will continue to support the development of rugby for both men and women in Samoa.
