A white double cab truck ran off the road in Ululoloa and smashed into an electricity pole at about 2pm Saturday afternoon.
The Electric Power Corporation and Samoa Fire and Emergency Services responded to the accident.
The electricity pole was deemed unsafe and first responders directed traffic away from the area.
“E le o sefe le pou, faagasolo taavale koekiki lava paù mai i lalo,” they warned drivers who were slowing down to take photos and videos.
Residents in the Ululoloa and Siusega areas experienced a power outage on Saturday afternoon as EPC worked to replace the pole.
As the festive season nears authorities are calling for safety on our roads and warning against deicing whole under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
