Tropical Disturbance 06F was located at about 423km West-Northwest of Apia at 2:00am early this morning with slight development and is moving South at the speed of 22knots (41kph). Meanwhile an active convergence zone which links to this system continues to provide heavy rainfall, strong and gusty winds as well as high swells. Looking ahead, the convergence zone will dominate the remainder of the week.
Impacts for Samoa:
Heavy rain for most locations with strong and gusty winds particularly on highlands and northern areas. Poor visibility and low cloud on highlands. Slippery roads with possible flooding and landslides at vulnerable areas. Increasing wave heights for open waters and high surf for coastal locations.
