TOELUPE MAOIAUTELE Poumulinuku Onesemo has secured the Falealili 1 seat for Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi.
Toelupe was the incumbent who served as Minister of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) before the FAST party split.
Toelupe led in all booths from Falealili 1 with the exception of Sapunaoa taken by Tuiloma Tusa Lance Lameko who placed second.
Toelupe has secured a solid lead of 365 votes before Special Votes and Pre Polling results.
Toelupe led in Saleilua, Poutasi, Matautu, Vaovai, Malaemalu, Tafatafa, Satalo and Piu.
Preliminary count places Toelupe Poumulinuku at 862 votes with Tuiloma Tusa Lance at 467.
TUMANUVAO Vacila Punicle Fui of SUP and Independent SI’A Alec Leaupepe Latu did not poll well with some booths polling 0 for these candidates.
Toelupe is currently the Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi FAST Deputy Chair.
The preliminary results continue to come through for Samoa’s general elections.
